Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Mom is a slug, what can I say! We have been busy with Christmas and stuff and completely forgot about this blog. A dunce and a slug.... but I still love Mom!

SO.... a week before Christmas I was feeling a little sluggish myself. Mom noticed I was asking (nicely, I might add) to go outside every 30 minutes. I know better than to potty in the house! So, off we went to Dr Gabby, the bestest Vet in town!

Dr Gabby took a urine sample and then drew blood for something called a liver panel. Seems I haven't had one of those done in months! When the nice aide brought me back and set me on that cold, metal table, I started shaking. Mom immediately put me in her lap (ahhhhhhh) but still I shook and acted like I was going to hurl. Mom put me on the floor and I simply collapsed. Then, to my chagrin, I started peeing. It looked like Lake Erie! Mom yelled for Dr Gabby to come in. Dr Gabby looked at my white gums and said I was in shock! YIKES!

She picked me up and took me to the back. I remember being hooked up to an IV. I know they had something hooked up to my chest and I heard the other Vet saying, "OK, we have a pulse again".... and they had an oxygen mask over my face. It felt nice being in such good hands.

Dr Gabby wanted to keep me until 6 PM (3 hours away) so Mom went home. Dr Gabby called Mom within 30 minutes to tell her I was fine and dandy now. But I was sporting a new orange bandage where the IV was.

I'm ok now, but a little stressed because big brother Snogger is visiting for a few days and we just don't get along. More about THAT later.

Oh... and here is last year's Christmas picture. From the left: sister Roxie, Mom Quincy, sister Hessie, and ME! I really should get Mom to take a picture of us this year before all the decorations are put away. hmmmm.... Mom??????????
